A republic, A democracy is actually a bad thing because it can lead to Mob rule and the mob can then do whatever it wants and even step outside the law leading to anarchy then eventually an Oligarchy. In Athens it happened all the time because they had true democracy.

We Americans dont have either. We have a Demacratic-Republic. We vote for people to represent us.

Having some for of democracy is important so the opinions of the people are heard but, a pure democracy is tangles and messy.

A pure republic however, is not equal. the common man is not allowed to speak. Look at the founding fathers: the original continental congress was consisted of only the most wealthy and influential people in the colonies! Thats Not Fair!

"A pure republic however, is not equal. the common man is not allowed to speak. Look at the founding fathers: the original continental congress was consisted of only the most wealthy and influential people in the colonies! Thats Not Fair!"

Not fair? You say that like those people didn't work hard to get to where they are its not there fault they are who they are and the others are who they are. Life isn't fair thats reality and in capitalism life is only as fair as you make it. We're not all equal the only way we should be equal is in the law. Also those people in congress at least understood the meaning of freedom, you know the famous line in the constitution "We hold these truths to be lef-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

What they really wanted to end that sentence with was "life, liberty, and property" but if they put property there then slavery may of never of ended so they instead put "the pursuit of happiness." Really not fair they planned ahead to hope that someday African Americans would be free and could eventually become wealthy too. On the contrary I think its overwhelmingly generous what they did and un-fair that they had to do so much work but life's not fair.

I menat Not Fair Representation.

Those men did not earn their positions! The majority acquired their wealth from family inheritence. The money was just given to them.

Yes, there were a select few who wanted to free slaves later. THey did not want to open the argument, ruin the economy of the colonies, or throw away their fortunes.

Capitalism Is Not A Governing System!!!! It is an economic strategy!

The goal of a good government should be to make representation and fair and equal as possible while keeping the system from being too messy.

"The goal of a good government should be to make representation and fair and equal as possible while keeping the system from being too messy."

The only thing that should be equal is justice and that's it without it we loose competitiveness, and thats whats driven American injinuity and when you say every bodys a winner you kill that. I think it would be better to point out that we learn better from our mistakes and someone has to lose but the loser needs to set the pace for everyone else if they want to stay on top or he will catch up.

Not to mention when you say its not fair that they were born into that your blaming them for coming into exsistence they had no control of that, its the exact same thing as laughing at someone born into low income but at least he has somewhere to climb the rich founders of our nation had to sit where they were and feel sad and have sympathy for those being abused by government and they wanted to fix that, if they were greedy rich people they would of made George Washington king but they weren't selfish they on the other hand were very fair, you can't have people with a 3rd grade education write something as important as the constitution that's foolish, and I'm proud that only they wrote it people as a mob are stupid but individuals are intelligent, there is a difference between intelligence and being smart.

One question.
You said:

Are you saying those few who wanted to end slavery wanted to do so only later because they though ending slavery would ruin the economy? or was it that they didn't want to argue about it and risk ruining the economy through an argument over slavery?
